Data deletion
Delete your data
Last updated · 10 May 2026
If you are an end-customer
You signed up to a brand that uses Liquidsend (e.g. you became a founder of a beauty subscription that runs on our platform). To delete your data:
- Contact the merchant first — their privacy policy explains their deletion process.
- If they don’t respond within 30 days, contact us at daniel@africanluxurygroup.com with the subject “End-customer data deletion”.
- Include the merchant name + the email address you used to subscribe.
- We’ll forward to the merchant or process directly within 30 days.
Quick WhatsApp opt-out: reply STOP to any WhatsApp message you’ve received via Liquidsend. Your number is added to a permanent do-not-message list within 5 minutes.
If you are a merchant
To delete your Liquidsend account and all associated data:
- Email us at daniel@africanluxurygroup.com with the subject “Merchant account deletion”.
- Include the email address registered to your account + business name.
- We confirm receipt within 48 hours.
- If you have an active subscription, we’ll cancel it before deleting (and refund pending charges per our terms).
- You receive an export of your data + connected customer data within 7 days, in CSV format.
- Within 30 days of confirmation, all your data is deleted from our systems.
- We notify sub-processors (Stripe, PayPal, Resend, Meta) to delete on their side; each has their own retention policy after that.
What we have to keep
A small set of records we’re legally required to retain:
- Billing/transaction records — 6 years (UK HMRC requirement).
- Suppression records — hashed reference to your email/phone so future imports never re-add you.
- Audit logs — 12 months for security monitoring.
None of these contain content of communications or readable identifiers.
If you can't reach us
We’re a small team and reply within 48h on weekdays. If you don’t hear back within 30 days, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
